Hi, I'm John.

Growing up just across the Bay from Silicon Valley, technology always felt close. I found my passion turning math into real-world applications: at UCLA I used Bayes’ theorem to turn wearable-sensor data into coaching insights for athletes.

But I wanted to see ideas shipped as products, not just researched, so I spent the next decade-plus bringing cloud- and AI-driven products to Fortune 500 clients. At Accenture I designed platforms that served more than 10 million customers. At McKinsey I led AI for Customer Experience—shipping the first production LLM for a client in 2019—and later headed the firm’s North American AI investing service line, advising companies from seed rounds to trillion-dollar leaders.

Today, I run Rostra, partnering with founders and investors to turn cutting-edge AI research into products that broaden access to knowledge and opportunity. We’ve helped teams scale from zero to eight-figure revenue while staying true to that mission.

Away from work, you’ll find me with my wife, a dietitian specialized in improving women’s health, and our two daughters—going on adventures from the beach to snow-covered mountains.
