Mudita Venture Partners is excited to announce an investment in Pavewise, an AI-driven platform that helps construction companies save time, cut costs, and reduce risk with automated on-site weather and production tracking. Mudita joined C2 Ventures, M25 and others in completing a $2.5 million seed round.
Pavewise is modernizing one of the most operationally complex, weather-sensitive, and margin-constrained sectors in construction. Their platform brings together real-time job-site data, predictive weather intelligence, crew and equipment planning, compaction quality tracking, compliance workflows, and production analytics into a single interface that field teams actually use. The result: fewer shutdowns, more accurate scheduling, cleaner DOT reporting, and dramatically less rework — all driving on-time completion with meaningful margin improvement.
The Problem
Paving contractors operate in high-stakes environments where delays are costly, data is fragmented, and decisions must be made fast. Yet most teams still rely on a patchwork of texts, PDFs, spreadsheets, and tribal knowledge. Weather disruptions, manual compliance tracking, inefficient scheduling, and quality failures routinely derail timelines and budgets. Industry-wide, 77% of projects are completed late, 75% are over budget, and 30% end in litigation. Pavewise exists to end this madness.
The Solution
Pavewise consolidates all job-site inputs — from crew assignments and equipment planning to temperature, weather impact, compaction quality, and production tracking — into an intuitive, all-in-one dashboard.
This gives contractors a real-time, data-driven cockpit to proactively manage projects. Teams schedule more efficiently, anticipate weather risks, maintain cleaner compliance records, and materially improve quality and profitability.
The Team
- Bryce Wuori (Founder & CEO) is a third-generation asphalt leader with 20+ years in the field and recognition as one of the top paving consultants in the country. He built the first version of Pavewise inside his own company, saving nearly $1M annually, and later validated broader demand through a consulting practice that spanned 40+ states. Bryce brings unmatched domain expertise, deep DOT relationships, and a real-world understanding of the industry’s operational pain points.
- Jonathan Kanarek (COO) is a seasoned operator with experience scaling data businesses such as BuildFax (acquired by Verisk). He brings strong enterprise sales leadership, insurance-grade data expertise, and proven GTM strategy capabilities.
- The team is supported by advisors including Tom Stemm, who founded Rivet and sold it to Trimble, along with top tier insurance company relationships that add depth in construction tech, data, and insurance.
Traction
- Early commercial traction with 27 paying customers including industry leaders such as Texas Materials, Pike Industries, Zachry, Lane Construction, Turner, and DPR. Mid-market contractors are ramping quickly, and newer accounts are already moving into higher-price tiers.
- Running 20+ active pilots, with 11 formal pilots in the pipeline and an exceptional ~95% pilot-to-paid conversion rate.
- ARR is currently $270K, with expectations to close the year between $400K–$500K based on seasonality in the buying cycle. The 2026 target is $2.5M ARR, and the existing pipeline already covers the majority of that goal.
- Beyond paving, the team is also testing its solution with several large general contractors in vertical construction. Early signals are compelling — including helping one contractor recover roughly $1M in claims through better documentation.
Why We’re Excited
- Massive, urgent pain in a low-tech industry. Paving is decades behind other construction verticals in digitization. Pavewise introduces clarity and control to an environment that’s historically chaotic and analog.
- Immediate, measurable ROI. Customers consistently report efficiency gains, fewer failed compaction tests, and more predictable execution — value that ties directly to dollars saved.
- Exceptional founder–market fit. The product is built by operators who lived these challenges for 20+ years, not by outsiders guessing at the workflow. The authenticity shows in adoption and retention.
- Category-creation potential. With no true incumbent platform, Pavewise has a clear path to becoming the default operating system for paving and asphalt construction.
Pavewise sits at the intersection of deep industry pain, authentic founder experience, and a massive opportunity to modernize an overlooked vertical. With early traction, strong unit economics, and a clear path to category leadership, the company is poised to become the indispensable operating system for paving and asphalt construction. We’re excited to partner closely with Bryce, Jonathan, and the team as they scale this vision.
